Area of practice
Sleep Medicine
Sleep Medicine investigates conditions that affect sleep quality, sleep continuity and breathing during sleep. The assessment considers each person’s history and, when necessary, appropriate tests.

Insomnia
Persistent difficulty initiating or maintaining sleep, affecting daily routines.
Obstructive sleep apnea
Information on snoring, observed pauses in breathing, assessment and treatment options.
Sleep-related breathing disorders
Complaints such as habitual snoring, choking at night and unrefreshing sleep should be assessed in the clinical context.
Tests and follow-up
Polysomnography and home tests have different indications and limitations.
Important: symptoms and questionnaires do not confirm a diagnosis. The indication for testing or treatment is individual.
